PENILE AND SCROTAL INJURIES, SCROTAL LYMPHEDEMA, HIDRADENITIS, AND OTHER DISORDERS

The Center for Reconstructive Urology is exclusively specialized in disorders of the male urethra and external genitalia. Those disorders include rare conditions including scrotal lymphedema, hidradenitis suppurativa, and other penile and scrotal skin disorders. Often there is skin deficiency or a disease process involved that requires the removal of diseased skin, creating skin deficiency. Skin coverage is then required and our expertise is in providing coverage by re-configuring local tissues as flaps, or using grafts to provide coverage. In other cases there is a partial or complete loss of the penis and/or scrotum and complex tissue transfer reconstructive surgery is required.
